Indiana State University (Department of Art)

The Department of Art at Indiana State University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). It offers the bachelor of fine arts and the bachelor of science in studio art, the bachelor of arts in art history, and the bachelor of science in art education. It also offers the master of arts, and the master of fine arts, a terminal degree that is nationally recognized by NASAD and the College Arts Association (CAA).

The department, which makes the creation of a friendly learning environment one of its priorities, is distinguished by its small classes and faculty members who are responsive to the individual needs and progress of their students. Spacious studios and ample equipment, among the best anywhere, enhance students’ hands-on experiences. Three exhibition galleries, including the University Gallery, offer a vibrant program that features established and budding artists, and acclaimed scholars from around the world. Opportunities for financial aid and scholarships for qualified students combine with reasonable tuition and housing costs to make Indiana State University one of the most affordable institutions in its class.
