Remington College - Fort Worth

Remington College - Ft. Worth Campus
Remington College -Fort Worth Campus has trained many skilled and professional graduates to help meet the needs of local employers. Our mission is to help prepare graduates for entry-level employment by providing them with practical, hands-on training. To that end, we are in regular contact with area employers to make sure that the training we offer is current and in demand. We invite employers to the Campus to review our facilities and equipment. We also ask for their feedback on courses and programs and on trends in their particular fields.

On any given day, a walk through our Campus might reveal Criminal Justice students in a mock trial session, Pharmacy Technician students learning about prescription medications and how to dispense them, Medical Insurance and Coding students filing simulated electronic claims, Medical Assisting students learning some of the skills needed to operate a clinic, and Information Technology students creating local area networks.

At Remington College - Fort Worth Campus, our staff and faculty members are dedicated to helping you develop the technical and soft skills you need for success in your chosen career field. Our dedication and commitment is evident throughout the halls and classrooms of our Campus. Students and visitors often comment on the positive and friendly atmosphere at the Campus, and many have noted that our care and concern for our students is what makes us different.

Remington College - Fort Worth Campus is also actively involved in the community. Staff and faculty members participate in the Fort Worth Adopt-a-School Program partnership with Bill Elliott Elementary School, and we sponsor functions associated with the Fort Worth Independent School District. Additionally, the Carter Blood Center and the American Red Cross conduct frequent blood drives on campus.

Digital Graphic Art

Associate of Applied Art: Fort Worth

Graphic designers, or graphic artists, plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communications challenges. Graphic designers develop the layout and production design of magazines, news media, journals, business reports, and other publications. They also design promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for products or services. Some graphic designers may develop material for Internet Web pages, interactive media, and multimedia projects. Designers who create Web graphics or other interactive media designs use a variety of basic computer animation and programming software.

The Digital Graphic Arts program instructs you in graphic/typographic design, digital design and imaging, digital pre-press operations, website design production, and the business aspects of advertising and marketing. The hands-on computer labs let you gain experience with many of the commonly used design programs in the industry. Programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Macromedia Freehand, and Macromedia Dreamweaver are taught, as well as Adobe Illustrator and HTML and XHTML programming.

The Digital Graphic Arts P program can prepare you for entry-level positions in desktop publishing, computer graphics, digital imaging, production art, and website creation. Potential employers include advertising agencies, design firms, newspapers and magazines, printing companies, corporate art departments, website designers and providers, and a host of other enterprises where there is a need for computer expertise combined with a flair for creative design.
