Graduate Degrees
The exciting and challenging new MFA in Studio Art & the Computer degree program at the University of Central Florida provides art and design students the ability to apply twenty-first century digital technology to diverse art and design disciplines. Classes establish a dialogue that will address the role of technology in the production of visual art. The program challenges students from traditional art disciplines as well as those in computer dominated fields to come together in an interactive environment. Concept driven courses ranging from graphic design and sculpture to painting and ceramics will benefit from the integration of computer technology. Students intending to enter this program should be interested in embracing and questioning the benefits of these new mediums of expression.

Undergraduate Degrees
The UCF Art Department offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in Art History, Computer Animation, and Art Studio tracks (such as Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Photography, Printmaking, and Graphic Design). UCF also offers a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree which is recommended for all Studio art majors or those individuals who plan to seek a graduate degree.

Foundations

All UCF Art students, whether they are studying graphic design, animation, or studio art, are required to have a foundation of traditional art. The core of the foundations program are two drawing and two design classes. Included on this website are examples of typical student artwork from these four core classes.

The purpose of this site is to give incoming freshmen and transfer students a better idea of the quality of work that is expected in the art foundations. Click on one of the below images/course titles to see the student work.
